I manage a continuous mix of residential and commercial jobs throughout New York and need a Professional Engineer who can step in as my on-call authority for code compliance, plan revisions, and, most critically, official stamping.
Most submittals arrive essentially complete, yet municipalities still require a NY-licensed seal or the occasional tweak to satisfy an inspector. Your role is therefore heavier on review, minor revisions, and quick turnaround endorsements than on ground-up design, though the ability to verify structural calculations and spot hidden load-path issues is essential.
Typical packages you will receive include:
• Blueprints that need your PE stamp
• Structural calculation sets for verification and sealing
• Site plans requiring last-minute edits and re-submission
Turnaround expectations: 2–4 business days for straightforward reviews; please flag any larger scope immediately so timelines can be reset before the client is promised a date.
Acceptance criteria:
1. Each document carries a valid New York PE seal and signature.
