IStructE Residential Plan Review
Budget: ₹600 – ₹30,000 INR
I have a full set of concrete-based structural drawings and calculations for a new residential build and I need a Chartered Member of the IStructE to cast an expert eye over them. The review must concentrate on three critical areas:
• Foundations – confirm bearing capacities, concrete specs and reinforcement details are appropriate for the site conditions supplied.
• Load calculations – verify all gravity and lateral loads have been traced correctly through the structure and that the safety factors comply with current UK codes.
• Basement retaining wall – check stability, overturning and sliding analyses, plus reinforcement sizing and waterproofing notes.
Everything has been modelled in accordance with Eurocodes and delivered as PDF drawings with accompanying TEDDS/Excel calculation sheets. Your job is to audit the documents, highlight any non-conformities, and issue a concise commentary (preferably on your headed paper) stating whether the design is satisfactory or requires amendment. I will make any necessary tweaks, then ask you to sign off the final version for building control submission.
