Dynamic Excel Construction Gantt Template
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a flexible Waterfall-style Gantt chart built in Microsoft Excel that I can reuse on multiple construction jobs. The worksheet must update all bars automatically whenever I change a start or finish date, covering every phase I typically manage—planning and design, procurement and logistics, and the actual construction/build stage.
I will be typing the dates in manually, so the layout should make data entry quick and fool-proof (ideally one clean table that drives the chart). If showing a critical path can be done without slowing the file down, let me know; I’m open to including it or keeping it optional via a toggle.
Key things I want to see working:
• Automatic bar adjustments and cascading shifts if a predecessor date moves
• Clear visual separation of the three phases above, with color coding I can edit
• Room for task names, durations, % complete, and notes without breaking the chart
• No macros unless absolutely required—lean formulas preferred so the file stays portable across machines
