Create systems for a building construciton company
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I want to capture every step that takes a job from tender through close-out in my construction company, turn those steps into clear process maps, and then translate the approved maps into a working, day-to-day system the team can follow.
The work begins with discovery: interviewing key site and office staff, observing how information and materials move, and gathering any existing forms, spreadsheets, or software screenshots we already use. From there, the goal is to produce visual flowcharts or BPMN diagrams that spell out who does what, when, and with which tool.
Once the maps are signed off, I’ll need your help choosing (or configuring) the right mix of digital tools and manual checkpoints so the process can actually run in the field. That could involve setting up templates in Procore or Buildertrend, building out shared folders in SharePoint, or drafting printable checklists—whatever best fits the way our foremen and project managers work.
Deliverables
• Discovery summary highlighting pain points and gaps
• End-to-end process maps in an editable format (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar)
• Implementation plan showing actions, owners, and timeline
• Draft SOPs/templates that align with the new workflows
• One revision cycle after staff feedback
Acceptance criteria
• Every activity has a clear owner, input, and output
• Maps are easy to follow for non-technical staff
• Proposed tools or documents can be put into use without custom coding
If you have a background in lean construction, Six Sigma, or ERP rollouts, let me know—real-world examples will help us move faster.
