Cost Estimation Quantity Surveyor
Budget: $20,000 – $50,000 USD
I have a full set of detailed architectural drawings for a new residential build and need an experienced quantity surveyor to translate those plans into an accurate, defendable cost estimate. Your job is to measure every element shown on the drawings, apply current market rates, and present a clear breakdown of labour, plant, and material costs.
The deliverable I expect is a professionally formatted cost report—Excel is fine, CostX or similar BIM-enabled software is even better—showing take-off quantities, unit rates, line-item totals, and a concise executive summary with any pricing assumptions you make. Please reference the drawing numbers throughout so I can audit the figures easily.
If you already work with live pricing databases or have up-to-date supplier quotes for residential materials (concrete, steel, timber framing, finishes, MEP fixtures) let me know; it will improve the credibility of the estimate. Accuracy within ±5 % of tender returns is the benchmark for acceptance. Turn-around required within one week of contract award.
