Commercial Elevator Pit Infill Design.

Job ID: 39891854

Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR

I need a stamped design package for a light-duty concrete infill that will sit at the base of an existing commercial elevator shaft. The sole purpose is structural support—there are no waterproofing or finish requirements—so every detail should be focused on load transfer, long-term stability, and straightforward constructability.

Scope
The elevator contractor has already removed the mechanical equipment, leaving a clear pit roughly 6 ft × 6 ft × 4 ft deep. I now require a reinforced-concrete solution that will safely span the opening and carry only maintenance foot traffic plus the self-weight of the slab (light duty). Include:

• Engineering calculations verifying capacity for the defined light-duty load.
• Dimensioned drawings in PDF and DWG that my GC can submit to the local AHJ.
• Rebar schedule and concrete spec (strength, slump, additives, curing notes).
• Any connection details if dowels or ledgers are needed to engage existing pit walls.

Acceptance
I will consider the work complete once the drawings pass my jurisdiction’s structural review and the general contractor confirms that all details are buildable with standard formwork and ready-mix.

I can supply site photos, a dimensioned sketch, and the original elevator shop drawings on request. If you need additional field data or concrete break strengths, let me know early so we can coordinate.
