Civil Engineer Paid Per Meter
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My upcoming residential building is ready to move from concept to construction, and I need an experienced civil engineer who works on a straightforward per-meter rate instead of the usual percentage-of-project model. Your main focus will be structural analysis followed by hands-on project management through to completion.
Here’s the flow I have in mind:
• Structural analysis: Prepare all design calculations, load assessments, reinforcement detailing, and stamped drawings. I normally review in AutoCAD and am comfortable if you prefer SAP2000, ETABS, or similar for modeling—just be ready to supply the native files along with PDF sets.
• Project management: Translate the approved design into a practical work plan, develop a detailed schedule, and oversee day-to-day progress. I’ll rely on you to track quantities and certify completed meters so payments and materials align with actual on-site production.
Clear deliverables at each milestone:
1. Signed structural calculation report and drawings.
2. Bill of quantities broken down per running meter.
3. Gantt chart with weekly targets.
4. Monthly progress summary keyed to executed meters and any variances.
