On-Call Commercial GC Partner
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I run a commercial painting company that occasionally bids on work requiring a licensed General Contractor of record. I’m looking for a reliable GC who can come on board project-by-project, add your license to our permits, and provide the basic oversight jurisdictions demand so we can legally proceed.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Sign off as the GC of record on commercial jobs—including office buildings, retail spaces, warehouses, hotels, hospitals, military facilities, resorts, and similar sites.
• Review our scope of work and confirm it aligns with trade regulations and safety codes.
• Be available to answer permitting or inspector questions (usually by phone or email; on-site visits only if absolutely required).
• Maintain documentation so owners, municipalities, and insurers see that a qualified GC is officially attached to the project.
We will continue to manage all day-to-day painting operations, scheduling, and crews. Your role is chiefly compliance-oriented rather than full project management, though I welcome any coordination or quality-control input you choose to offer.
Ideal fit:
• Active GC license in good standing, with a track record on commercial projects.
• Familiarity with standard safety and quality requirements for finishes and coatings.
• Responsiveness—permits often move fast and I need quick turnarounds on signatures or clarification notes.
If you’re interested in an ongoing, per-job relationship that opens doors for both of us, let’s discuss the first upcoming project and outline a straightforward sign-off process.
