30 m Mild Steel High-Mast Design
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I need a full structural design package for a 30 m-tall high-mast lighting tower that can safely resist a basic wind speed of 65 m/s on an industrial site. The shaft will be fabricated in steel, and I intend to support it on a raft foundation rather than piles or isolated footings, so the design must optimise both the mast sections and the raft thickness/reinforcement for cost efficiency.
Please include:
• Detailed design calculations showing compliance with relevant wind-loading and fatigue provisions.
• GA drawing of high mast
The following shall be the applicable Reference Standards for the High Mast:
1. B.S. Code of Practice CP-3 Chapter V Part-II - Gradient of wind speeds related to height above ground.
2. B.S. 4360 Grades of MS plates B.S. 5135 Welding
3. B.S. 729 Galvanizing
4. Technical Report (TR)No.-TR-7:2000 of ILE,UK Specification for Mast and Foundation
5. I.S. 875(Part III) :2015 Code of practice for design loads for buildings & structures – wind loads
Feel free to use STAAD, SAP2000, Robot, or any equivalent tool as long as you reference the version. I’ll review the native files as well as PDF outputs.
