Design Deck Replacement Beam

The main beam beneath my exterior deck has failed and I need a qualified professional to specify an appropriate steel replacement. The clear span falls between 10 ft and 20 ft, so the new member must safely carry typical residential deck loads over that distance while matching the existing post layout.
I’ll supply photos, current framing plans, onsite measurements, and any additional load information you request. From that data, I’m looking for:
• Structural calculations showing the governing load combinations (dead, live, snow where relevant) and the selected steel shape (W-section, HSS, or plate-built if more efficient).
• A concise drawing or sketch that I can hand to my local fabricator and building inspector, noting beam size, grade, connections, and any required bracing or lateral restraints.
• Written installation notes that flag critical points such as bearing length, corrosion protection, and fastener or weld specs.
I prefer straightforward U.S. standards— AISC, IBC, and if possible reference to commonly available steel grades (A992 or equivalent). A stamped document isn’t mandatory, but work should be to professional engineering practice so the local authority can review it easily.
