Book-to-Screenplay Drama Adaptation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My completed drama novel now needs to live on the screen. I want a feature-length screenplay (roughly 100–120 pages, standard industry format) that captures the emotional weight of the story while highlighting its central theme of overcoming adversity. The tone must remain adult-oriented, so feel free to lean into mature character arcs, nuanced dialogue and realistic conflict.
You’ll have my full manuscript, chapter notes and character bios. From there, the task is to translate the prose into a cinematic structure—three-act pacing, visual scene descriptions, concise action lines and polished, speakable dialogue. I’m happy to workshop a brief treatment or beat sheet first, then move to a full draft, followed by one revision pass after my notes.
If you work in Final Draft, Celtx or a comparable screenwriting program, let me know; I’d like the .fdx file plus a PDF when we’re finished. Experience adapting novels, especially dramas, will help you hit the right beats and maintain the intensity that drives the story’s message.
