Illustrator Needed for Magic Library Exhibition Concept Art
Budget: $750 – $1,500 AUD
We are developing an immersive, story-led children’s exhibition centred on a fictional Magic Library.
We are seeking an illustrator to produce six (6) original, hand-crafted concept illustrations in the visual tradition of theme park Imagineering ride concept art. These will be used to communicate the creative vision, spatial atmosphere, and narrative arc of the experience to internal and external stakeholders and partners.
We are not looking for AI-generated outputs or over-rendered architectural visualisations.
We are looking for expressive, painterly concept art that evokes mood, scale, light, materiality, and imagination.
The illustrations should:
- Feel cinematic, immersive, and emotionally legible
- Convey atmosphere through lighting, texture, and perspective
- Suggest narrative movement within each space
- Include human silhouettes or children where appropriate to indicate scale and interaction
- Prioritise mood and experiential storytelling over technical accuracy
- Subtle magical realism (nothing overtly fantasy or cartoonish)
