Book Illustrator Wanted for Fantasy Map

Fantasy Map Artist Needed for Book + Commercial Use

I’m looking for a talented illustrator to create a custom fantasy-style map for use in an upcoming book project, as well as for ongoing marketing materials.

This map will represent a fictional world, so I’m after someone with strong experience in fantasy/cartography-style artwork—think detailed, immersive, and visually compelling.

Project Scope
Create a high-resolution illustrated fantasy map

Style: hand-drawn / painterly / classic fantasy (open to your artistic style, but must feel professional and atmospheric)

Includes:
Multiple locations (kingdoms, towns, landmarks, etc.)
Terrain elements (mountains, forests, rivers, oceans)
Clear but artistic labeling (if included)

Final file suitable for:
Book interior (print-ready)
Marketing use (social media, website, promotional graphics)

Requirements
Experience in fantasy illustration or map design (please provide portfolio)
Ability to collaborate and incorporate feedback
Strong attention to detail and world-building elements
Deliver high-resolution files (300 DPI minimum)

Usage & Rights
This is a work-for-hire project
I require full commercial rights and unrestricted usage of the final artwork (including book publishing, advertising, and merchandise if needed)
The final artwork must be original and not AI-generated or stock-based

Nice to Have
Experience working with authors or publishing projects
Ability to match an existing fantasy tone or aesthetic
