Robotics and Computer Vision Project

Job ID: 40169932

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

In this project, I am requesting the assistance of robotics/computer vision engineering specialists to optimize an existing plan to localize a particular object of interest utilizing computer vision and tensorflow lite, open CV, and possibly a Kalman filter, aim a pan/tilt motor arrangement towards the object of interest, and engage in subsequent action. While I am currently basing the project on a raspberry pi 5, and have selected the motors/other components, I am looking for an experienced engineer/team who can either support the current product selections or recommend alternatives which optimize factors including processing speed, accuracy, and cost.

When a freelancer has been selected, I can share additional details including the purpose of the project, the intended action of the proposed device, the intended audience of the project, the specific item list on which the project is currently based, CAD files of the physical setup, and written 'pseudocode' on which I am currently basing the plan.

Desired timeframe: completion of the deliverables within a 3 month (or shorter) time period, with an optional optimization phase thereafter. A non-disclosure agreement will be required prior to providing many additional details. As the project involves physical and digital components, I am looking for a clear plan to be established regarding how you can work with me in a remote capacity. For example, 3D printing the CAD files and completing a parallel setup in your workspace or other creative solution.

The project deliverables include the following:
-Review of existing materials including project purpose, intended audience, CAD files, current item list
-Recommendations of alternative components if appropriate
-Recommendations or changes to CAD design of physical components
-A simple fritzing diagram of the recommended setup
-Changes as appropriate to the design of the pseudocode architecture with the intended action of the device, purpose, and audience of the project in mind
-Coding for Raspberry pi 5 (or an alternative suggested platform) to enact the desired outcomes of the project
-Ongoing optimization (as appropriate) of the device to enhance processing speed, accuracy, and reduce cost, among other factors
