Public Transit Safety ITS Solution
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I am working with Q-Free on an initiative that will position us as the prime mover in intelligent transportation for large metropolitan areas. The shared Google brief (https://share.google/5p1ktrXXgX1WUOf6E) and the demo video (https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17XhuPJ2gn/) outline our vision; now I need a specialist who can translate that vision into a concrete, public-transit-centred ITS that measurably improves passenger and pedestrian safety.
Safety is the single, overriding objective. Every recommendation—whether it involves vehicle-to-infrastructure messaging, computer-vision incident detection, predictive analytics, or priority signal control for buses—must ultimately reduce the likelihood or severity of crashes around transit vehicles and stops.
To keep the engagement focused, I will be looking for:
• A high-level system architecture that integrates real-time vehicle tracking, secure data exchange, and fail-safe field hardware.
• A feature roadmap that shows how each component advances safety benchmarks at six-, twelve-, and eighteen-month horizons.
• Technical specs (interfaces, data models, recommended sensors, and networking standards) ready for procurement teams.
• A concise risk assessment with mitigation strategies covering cybersecurity, latency, and field maintenance.
• KPIs and validation methods that will let us prove a safety uplift once the pilot goes live.
Please reference any prior work on public-transit-focused ITS, especially deployments that used adaptive signal control or multi-modal data fusion. Deliverables can be handed over in phased milestones, and I am ready to move quickly once we confirm technical fit.
