Mini SOC Setup for Cybersecurity Training
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I'm looking for an expert in cybersecurity to help me build a mini Security Operations Center (SOC) that I can use to train my students. This system should include the following security tools:
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
- Intrusion Prevention System (IPS)
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Email security
- Ticketing tool
- Forensic tool
Ideally, the system should not only be a reliable and functional training environment, but also allow us to simulate attacks and phish emails so we can effectively triage alerts and do incident response and forensics. There are free open source tools.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in setting up a SOC
- Expertise with EDR, IPS, SIEM, and other key security tools
- Ability to develop a system for simulating attacks
- Experience as a tutor or experience in training will be an additional advantage
