Intrusion Detection System (SNORT & SURICATA)
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I am looking for an experienced professional to develop an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) using both SNORT and SURICATA. The purpose of the IDS is to prevent unauthorized access to my system, monitor user activity and detect security threats.
I would like both tools to be used in this project in order to allow for the greatest amount of flexibility and effectiveness when it comes to monitoring and detecting possible threats. Specifically, I would like the IDS to monitor both network-originated threats and application-based threats. To ensure a reliable and accurate system, I would like the IDS to be tested and evaluated using the CIC-IDS2017 Dataset only on Wednesday and Thursday. The testing dataset will consist of a 20% test set.
