Advanced Cybersecurity Honeypot Developer Needed
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Honeypot Developer to design, develop, and deploy advanced honeypot systems that simulate real-world environments to detect and analyze unauthorized access attempts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and software development, with a focus on creating innovative solutions to enhance threat detection and intelligence.
This role is critical to helping organizations, particularly Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), improve their cybersecurity posture by identifying vulnerabilities in user access controls and providing actionable insights to mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Development:
Develop cloud-based honeypot systems that simulate user access control environments, such as login portals, file servers, and databases.
Implement protocols and services (e.g., SSH, FTP, SMB, HTTP) to attract and detect unauthorized access attempts.
Threat Detection and Analysis:
Build mechanisms to capture and log malicious activities, including brute-force attacks, malware delivery, and unauthorized access attempts.
Analyze attacker behavior and techniques to improve honeypot effectiveness.
Automation and Integration:
Create automated tools for real-time monitoring, reporting, and vulnerability assessment.
Integrate honeypot systems with existing security tools and platforms for seamless operation.
Reporting and Recommendations:
Develop real-time reporting dashboards to provide SMEs with insights into detected threats and vulnerabilities.
Generate actionable recommendations to strengthen user access controls and overall cybersecurity posture.
