Set up new iMac computer in Newark, Delaware

My mother in law bought a new iMac computer. Her old one is probably 8 or so years old. She lives in an apartment on my property in Newark, Delaware. The project is to come to the apartment, set up the new computer, move relevant files and applications from the old one, and show her how to use it if anything is different.
