Daily Offsite Laptop Monitoring

I will send you my laptop so it can run in a normal home environment, away from my own network, for a short proving period. Each day the machine needs to be powered up, used for ordinary tasks—opening a browser, streaming a short video, typing a brief document—and then shut down again. While you use it, pay close attention to three things: any hardware glitches (track-pad, ports, screen, fans, battery, etc.), overall software responsiveness, and general system stability such as freezes or unexpected restarts.

At the end of every session, jot down what you observed, even if everything behaved correctly, and message me a quick status note. If something odd appears, describe the symptoms in detail and, when possible, reproduce the behaviour so we can isolate it.

The laptop will arrive fully configured; no diagnostic utilities or update routines are required beyond the regular usage described. All I ask is that the device stays in a safe, smoke-free space, plugged into reliable power when needed, and that you follow the simple routine outlined above.
