Urban Wind Impact Simulation
Budget: $10 – $30 AUD
I’m looking for a quick yet reliable computational wind study of Federation Square in Melbourne Australia. The aim is to understand wind direction or/and wind speed:
• wind direction and speed
• Pedestrian wind comfort
A basic CFD-based simulation (OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent, or any equivalent tool you’re comfortable with) is all I need at this stage. i have a 3d model or you can use whatever online tools you like to extract the site
Deliverables:
1. A brief PDF summary (2-3 pages) outlining methodology, assumptions, and key findings.
2. Two or three annotated visual snapshots or plots illustrating wind patterns and pressure zones around the buildings and pedestrian areas.
3. A simple recommendations list pointing out any critical wind hot-spots or comfort issues.
If you have previous urban wind studies in your portfolio, feel free to share a sample image or two so I can gauge style and clarity. I’ll supply site drawings and location data once we kick off.
