Transient CFD Tiltrotor Transition Analysis

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

A fully transient ANSYS Fluent study is required for a moderate-complexity tilt-rotor aircraft during its hover-to-cruise transition. I will supply the cleaned CAD and the reference flight condition envelope; you will handle everything from preprocessing to final post-processing on your own high-performance hardware so the entire job is wrapped up inside one week.

The investigation must capture aerodynamic forces, flow separation and vortex formation throughout the manoeuvre, paying special attention to the influence of the hovering rotors on the airframe. A mesh-independence check and an appropriate turbulence model choice for unsteady behaviour are expected.

Deliverables
• Fluent project files (mesh, case and data for all time steps)
• A concise report (setup rationale, solver settings, residual histories)
• Time-resolved plots of lift, drag, pitching moment and thrust
• Visualisations: vorticity iso-surfaces, surface pressure maps and flow-separation animations
• Summary of hover-induced effects with engineering conclusions

Acceptance criteria
• Residuals and monitor points converge consistently at each time step
• Mesh independence demonstrated with ≤ 5 % deviation in force coefficients
• Report and visuals clearly reveal the three requested phenomena across the transition window
