Resolve COMSOL Heat Exchanger Convergence
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I built a time-dependent COMSOL Multiphysics model of a compact heat exchanger, but the simulation stalls with convergence problems once the solution reaches the outlet section. I have already experimented with mesh refinement, smaller time steps, and a range of solver settings, yet the Newton iterations still diverge after a few physical seconds.
What I need is a working .mph file that runs to completion under the Time Dependent solver while preserving the current physics definitions (conjugate heat transfer, turbulence, and material properties). Alongside the corrected model, please include a concise outline of the modifications you introduce—whether it is a different segregated solver sequence, stabilized formulations, boundary condition tweaks, or additional initial-value ramping—so I can reproduce the fix on future designs.
