Telecom Subpoena Response Paralegal
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I’m looking for a U.S.–based paralegal who already understands the unique compliance pressures telecom companies face when subpoenas arrive. Most of the work centers on reviewing the incoming subpoena, organizing any responsive documents we hold, and then drafting a clear, properly formatted response packet for counsel to sign off on before it goes out.
Here’s what I need from you on each matter:
• Quickly sort and flag responsive records (call detail, billing files, contracts, internal emails, etc.) while preserving all metadata.
• Create a well-organized production log with Bates numbers and any required confidentiality designations.
• Draft the response letter or declaration that accompanies the production, citing the relevant subpoena language and telecom-specific statutory provisions.
I’ll supply the subpoena, our document repositories, and any previous response templates we’ve used; you bring your paralegal expertise, strong familiarity with telecom privacy statutes, and an eye for detail. Turnaround is often tight—48 hours is typical—so availability during standard U.S. business hours is important.
Deliverables are complete when counsel receives:
1. A clean, indexed PDF of all responsive documents.
2. The draft response letter ready for attorney signature.
3. A brief summary memo noting any potential compliance or privilege issues spotted during your review.
