School Meal Program Compliance Support

I’m a consultant working with schools and childcare centers on their Child Nutrition Programs (CACFP and NSLP). I’m seeking an experienced professional to provide on-demand support with various tasks, including:

* Reviewing and refining breakfast, lunch, snack, and supper menus that meet CACFP and NSLP guidelines — while still appealing to children.
* Verifying menu compliance with meal pattern standards and ensuring accurate nutrition analysis.
* Collecting and reviewing supporting documentation (nutrition fact labels, product formulation statements, standardized recipes) to confirm proper quantities and compliance.
* Preparing and reviewing production records to accurately document portions, yields, and leftovers.
* Checking daily meal counts, consolidating tallies, and ensuring claiming numbers match supporting documentation.
* Organizing records (menus, nutrient analyses, production worksheets, and count sheets) in shareable folders to ensure readiness for administrative reviews.

Desired Skills & Tools:

* Experience with CACFP and/or NSLP requirements
* Ability to interpret CN labels and product formulation statements
* Strong attention to detail and quick turnaround times
* Clear communication and comfort, translating regulations into actionable steps for kitchen staff
