HR Policy & Process Design
Budget: ₹37,500 – ₹75,000 INR
Our six-member, SEBI-registered mutual fund distributor and insurance intermediary is scaling to a 20-person team within the next two to three years. Before the headcount rises, I want a clear, compliant HR framework in place.
Scope of work
The assignment centres on drafting and documenting the core HR policies that matter most to us right now—employee onboarding and offboarding, leave and attendance management, and performance evaluation. Alongside the policies, I also need the underlying processes fleshed out so that recruitment and hiring as well as training and development run smoothly from day one.
Regulatory angle
Because we operate under both SEBI and insurance regulations, every policy must reflect the latest compliance requirements. Wherever a policy touches data handling, remuneration disclosures, grievance redressal or any record-keeping obligation, the relevant circulars and guidelines must be cited and embedded in the final documents.
Expected deliverables
• An employee handbook covering the three policy areas above, written in plain language yet referencing the applicable regulations.
• Step-by-step standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recruitment, onboarding, training and eventual offboarding, including checklists and ownership matrices.
• A concise compliance checklist cross-referenced to SEBI and IRDAI requirements.
• A rollout plan outlining communication to existing staff and a simple monitoring mechanism for the first three months.
Everything can be delivered remotely; periodic calls on Zoom or Google Meet work for me. I expect the whole engagement to wrap up within four to six weeks, but I am flexible if a staged delivery schedule helps maintain quality.
