Orange County, NC Probate Court Representation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am the appointed executor of an estate in Orange County, NC and need full representation throughout the probate process. The estate must be opened, all required petitions and ancillary documents prepared, filed, and followed through to issuance of Letters Testamentary. Court appearances in the Surrogate’s Court—whether virtual or in-person—are part of the mandate, along with responding to any objections or supplemental requests from the clerk or judge.
Scope of work
• Draft and file the initial probate petition, supporting affidavits, notices, and accompanying documentation.
• Serve and file all statutory notices and waivers, handling any heir or beneficiary objections that may arise.
• Represent the estate at every Surrogate’s Court conference, motion, or hearing until the decree admitting the will to probate is entered and Letters Testamentary are issued.
• Provide clear guidance on each procedural step, anticipated timelines, and any additional records I must obtain.
• Keep me informed with concise status updates after every court appearance or significant filing.
The estate is straightforward—no contested assets are expected—but accuracy and compliance with Orange County (NC) Estates, Powers and Trusts Law are critical. Experience with Orange county (NC) Surrogate’s Court procedures, e-filing, and a track record of efficient probate administration will be highly valued.
