Irrevocable Letter of Credit Setup
Budget: $50 – $0 USD
I am the buyer in an upcoming international transaction and need a seasoned trade-finance professional to guide the complete issuance of an irrevocable Letter of Credit. The deal is time-sensitive, so I want to move efficiently from drafting terms through final SWIFT transmission, while staying fully compliant with UCP 600 and all relevant ICC rules.
Here is what I must walk away with:
• A rock-solid LC draft reflecting the commercial contract (currency, shipment schedule, Incoterms, latest shipment date, tolerance clauses, etc.).
• Clear guidance on the supporting documents my supplier must present—invoice, packing list, B/L or AWB, certificate of origin, inspection reports—so nothing is rejected at negotiation.
• Coordination with my issuing bank (or introduction to a reputable one) to file the application, review fees, and release the LC over MT700.
• A concise checklist I can give to the seller that explains each condition in plain English.
Experience with cross-border deals, SWIFT formatting, and negotiation between buyer, seller, and bank is essential. If you have handled irrevocable credits before and can start right away, let’s make this smooth for everyone involved.
