Freelance US-Compliance Accounts Reviewer

Position: Freelance Accounts Reviewer (USA Compliance)
Role Purpose
To review internally maintained accounts, ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and provide guidance on US accounting standards and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
• Review monthly accounting records prepared by internal staff
• Verify bank reconciliation & ledger accuracy
• Ensure proper documentation and filing structure
• Check invoice compliance (US format standards)
• Provide guidance on US accounting rules (basic GAAP level)
• Highlight risks, gaps, or compliance issues
• Provide improvement suggestions
Quarterly compliance review report
No daily bookkeeping required
No transaction entry required
Candidate Requirements
Qualification
• CPA (US) preferred OR
• US GAAP experience minimum 3years
• Chartered Accountant with US exposure acceptable
Experience Required
• Experience handling US clients
• Knowledge of:
• US GAAP basics
• IRS documentation structure
• Payroll compliance (if applicable)
• Sales tax understanding
Skills
• Strong review & analytical skills
• Accounting software knowledge (QuickBooks strongly preferred)
• Ability to provide structured compliance feedback
