Comprehensive Medical Billing System Development
Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD
The project scope involves developing and implementing a comprehensive medical billing system for U.S.VETS Arizona Sites. The overall goal is to streamline billing processes, improve accuracy, reduce errors, and enhance revenue collection, ensuring timely payments and financial sustainability for the organization. This includes identifying and collaborating with a third-party billing vendor to manage billing operations effectively.
This role will be critical in guiding the organization through the approval process for medical billing and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA. Responsibilities include assessing current needs, evaluating and selecting a suitable third-party vendor, and integrating the chosen vendor’s services into the organization’s workflow.
The role will also involve designing and optimizing billing workflows, setting up software systems, and developing training programs for staff on the new processes. They will conduct testing to ensure smooth functionality before the full system launch. Additionally, they will establish performance metrics, monitor billing operations, and identify opportunities for improvement.
By ensuring a smooth transition and effective adoption of the new system, this role will help build a sustainable financial framework that supports U.S.VETS Phoenix and Prescott's mission to deliver high-quality services to veterans. The project will directly contribute to the organization’s long-term sustainability and its ability to serve those in need.
The expected timeline for this project is 6-12 months. The system can be mostly standard with a few tweaks to fit our needs. The system will require moderate customization. The system should feature performance metrics dashboards.
