Complete Website Legal Documentation

Job ID: 39891873

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I’m building a crowdfunding-style platform that lets people open shared “fund pots” for weddings, birthdays, and similar events. Because the site will process payments and store personal data, I need a web-savvy solicitor to put solid, uk compliant legal foundations in place before we go live.

What I’m looking for:
• Website Terms & Conditions that cover user conduct, fund-pot creation, payment flows, dispute handling, and platform fees.
• A GDPR-ready Privacy Policy that explains exactly how we capture, store, and share personal and payment data, with clear lawful bases, data-subject rights, and retention timelines.
• A Cookie Policy aligned with the ePrivacy Directive, including consent wording for analytics, marketing, and functional cookies.
• Any additional disclaimers or statutory notices you believe are prudent for a crowdfunding environment (e.g., risk-of-loss statement, liability caps, KYC wording).
• A concise NDA / work-for-hire agreement for my freelance developers to protect the concept, code, and all IP produced.
• A quick legal sweep of the current staging site to flag any compliance gaps or risky wording so we can fix them before launch.

The documents must be drafted for users located in the UK and reference UK law where appropriate. Please incorporate plain-English wording, cross-referencing to GDPR articles, and sign-off sections we can hand straight to Stripe or other PSPs if they ask for them.

Ideal partner: someone with proven experience in SaaS or fintech, comfortable translating legal jargon into language that builds user trust. If you’re available to answer the occasional follow-up question after delivery, even better.

Let’s protect our users—and ourselves—right from day one.
