We are a leading UK company formation agent seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Compliance Officer to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and processing customer orders, ensuring compliance with UK regulatory requirements, conducting customer due diligence checks, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and customer service.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in compliance, company formations, AML procedures, and customer onboarding who can work independently while managing a high volume of applications.

Key Responsibilities
Review and process company formation orders accurately and efficiently.
Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Verify customer identity and supporting documentation.
Process Personal Verification Code (PVC) applications and related compliance requirements.
Review and process confirmation statements and dormant company filings.
Prepare and submit VAT registration applications.
Assess applications for potential compliance risks and escalate concerns where appropriate.
Maintain accurate customer records and compliance documentation.
Ensure all orders meet Companies House and internal compliance requirements before submission.
Respond to customer enquiries professionally and provide guidance on compliance-related matters.
Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to resolve application issues.
Monitor and adhere to service level agreements and processing targets.
Assist with ongoing compliance monitoring and process improvements.
Skills and Experience

Essential:

Previous experience in a compliance, company formations, corporate services, or regulated administrative role.
Strong understanding of AML and customer due diligence requirements.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Competent in Microsoft Office and online business systems.

Desirable:

Experience working with Companies House filings and company formations.
Knowledge of confirmation statements, dormant company accounts, VAT registrations, and director verification requirements.
Experience using CRM and compliance screening systems.
Availability Requirements
Must be available to work between 10:00am and 4:00pm (UK time), Monday to Friday.
Additional flexibility during busy periods is advantageous.
