Competitor Feature Analysis Research
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I’m mapping out the next release of a new platform and need an organised researcher to dig into our closest competitors, catalogue exactly which features they provide, and capture concrete examples of how those features look or behave in the product. The focus is strictly on competitor analysis—no pricing or review scraping—so that our team can see, at a glance, where we can differentiate.
You will explore each rival product, note every relevant feature set, grab live examples (screenshots, URLs or short screen recordings), and compile everything in a clear, side-by-side format. Google Sheets or Excel is fine for the data table; visuals can live in a shared Drive or neatly dropped into a PowerPoint or Notion page—whatever keeps the flow easy to consume.
Deliverables
• A spreadsheet listing each competitor and its feature set, with direct links to the feature in action.
• A visual annex (slides or shared folder) containing the captured examples, properly labelled.
• A brief insight summary (one page is enough) highlighting feature gaps or standout ideas.
We focus on this 3 areas:
A. Ticketed Events
B. Offers (deals, products, food specials)
C. Business profiles
Accuracy and clarity matter more than volume, so double-check every link and label. If a feature isn’t obvious, document the path you took to locate it so we can quickly reproduce the steps.
