As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for providing clients with expert advice on travel destinations, planning itineraries, and arranging travel-related services such as flights, accommodations, tours, and transportation. Your role will involve working closely with clients to ensure they have a seamless travel experience tailored to their needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Consultation: Meet with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, and specific needs. Offer expert advice on destinations, accommodations, and activities.
Itinerary Planning: Create detailed travel itineraries, including flight schedules, hotel bookings, tours, activities, and transportation arrangements. Ensure itineraries meet clients' requirements.
Booking & Reservations: Make flight, hotel, tour, and transport reservations using booking systems (e.g., GDS like Amadeus, Sabre) or directly through suppliers.
Customer Support: Provide ongoing support to clients before, during, and after their trips, resolving any travel-related issues that arise.
Sales & Upselling: Recommend additional services such as travel insurance, tours, and upgrades to enhance the client's travel experience. Maximize sales opportunities through cross-selling and upselling.
Visa & Documentation: Assist clients with obtaining visas, travel insurance, and other necessary travel documentation.
Travel Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest travel trends, destination information, and industry regulations (e.g., COVID-19 protocols, visa changes).
Budget Management: Help clients manage their travel budgets while ensuring they get the best value for their money.
Problem-Solving: Handle last-minute travel changes, cancellations, or emergencies with quick and effective solutions.
