Job Opportunity: Temporary Field Assistant for Sisal Fiber Softening & Packaging in Machakos County, Kenya (5- 10 Day Project)
I'm seeking to hire a temporary field assistant for a short-term, 5-10 day project to assist with sisal fiber processing in Kee Town, Kola – Machakos County, Kenya.
Scope of Work:
Soften sisal fibers using a specific formula that will be provided.
Dry, package, and prepare the fibers for shipment.
Coordinate delivery of the packaged fibers to the designated port (exact location will be shared).
Ensure all activities are done efficiently, maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality control.
Ideal Candidate:
Based in or near Kee Town, Kola in Machakos County.
Has experience handling agricultural or fiber-based materials (especially sisal is a plus).
Is physically fit and able to manage hands-on tasks like soaking, drying, bundling, and lifting fiber packages.
Can follow instructions closely and work independently with minimal supervision.
Is reliable, prompt, and able to communicate effectively via phone or WhatsApp.
Familiarity with logistics, packaging, or small-scale export procedures is a plus.
Project Duration:
10 days (starting immediately upon agreement)

On-site work in Kee Town, Kola – Machakos County
Compensation:
Fixed fee (negotiable based on experience and efficiency)
