Public Outreach Coordinator
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
I am seeking a professional to support public outreach for a major construction project. This role involves attending weekly meetings - both in-person and virtually - and working with a government agency to engage various stakeholders groups in the impact area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule/promote community meetings to inform the public about the project's progress and implications.
- Provide content for regular updates on social media to maintain transparency and keep the community engaged.
- Oversee the overall public outreach strategy to ensure clear and consistent communication.
The primary objective of this position is to keep the public informed, hear and respond to areas of concern and opportunity, and garner support for the construction project. A successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, experience in public relations and/ or engagement, and a solid understanding of traditional and digital media applications.
