Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to assist with estimating commercial projects subject to prevailing wage requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of prevailing wage laws (such as Davis-Bacon or local state requirements), commercial construction practices, and be skilled in preparing detailed, accurate cost estimates.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, factoring in prevailing wage rates.
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand scope and requirements.
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Develop quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
Prepare bid proposals and assist with change order pricing as needed.
Ensure compliance with prevailing wage standards in all estimates.
Communicate effectively with project managers and clients.Requirements:
Proven experience as a construction estimator on commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws (federal Davis-Bacon and/or state/local).
Proficient with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar).
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills.
Project Details:

Work may be project-based with ongoing opportunities.
