Looking for a Witty Content Writer Who Can Mix Comedy and Coding

Job ID: 39908220

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m looking for a talented content writer who can write entertaining and insightful articles about software engineering — blending humor, storytelling, and technical understanding.

The goal is to publish engaging articles on LinkedIn and Medium that resonate with developers, engineers, and tech professionals — making readers laugh and think.

Example themes:
- The “funny truth” behind debugging nightmares
- Everyday life of developers in big tech
- Satirical takes on agile meetings or code reviews
- Light-hearted reflections on AI, productivity, or startup culture

What You’ll Do:
- Write 1–2 original articles per week (500–1,000 words each)
- Research light technical topics and turn them into relatable stories
- Match tone and humor with developer culture (think: XKCD, The Pragmatic Engineer, or The Oatmeal meets coding)
- Optimize slightly for engagement on LinkedIn / Medium (clear hook, structure, and tone)

Requirements:
- Strong writing and storytelling skills
- Sense of humor — especially around tech culture or programming life
- Understanding of software development or tech industry (you don’t have to be a programmer, but should “get” tech jokes)
- Fluent in English

Nice to Have:
- Experience writing for developer audiences
- Examples of humorous writing or published work
- Familiarity with LinkedIn / Medium formatting and audience style

If you can make developers laugh and think — I’d love to hear from you!
