YouTube Documentary Video Editor

Job ID: 39929658

Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR

I run a small, budget-conscious YouTube channel that focuses exclusively on documentary stories. I handle the research, script, and voice-over; what I need from you is the polished visual narrative.

The raw assets you’ll receive include A-roll interviews, B-roll, and a folder of archival clips I’ve already licensed. Your task is to stitch these elements into a cohesive episode with smooth cinematic transitions that feel deliberate rather than flashy. No motion graphics, animated titles, or heavy VFX are required—just clean, purposeful cutting, tasteful color work, and thoughtful pacing that lets the story breathe.

Typical workflow:
• Sync audio, trim dead space, and assemble a rough cut
• Weave in archival footage where it reinforces the storyline
• Apply cinematic transitions and light color correction / grading
• Balance dialogue, ambient sound, and licensed music to broadcast levels
• Export a final 1080p (or higher) master plus the editable project file

Turnaround is generally one episode per week, though I’m flexible as long as deadlines are clear up front. If you have a portfolio that demonstrates documentary editing—especially pieces that rely on archival material—share a link so I can see how you handle narrative flow.

I’m aiming for a long-term partnership, so efficiency and clear communication matter just as much as artistic touch. Let me know your preferred NLE (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) and any questions you have about the footage or workflow, and we can start with a paid test edit right away.
