Hi,
I’m looking for a skilled video editor to help me turn raw fishing footage into engaging short-form videos for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
Project Overview
I have several dozen GB of fishing footage from my saltwater fishing trips that needs to be edited into:
45–60 short videos
8–15 seconds each
Vertical format 9:16
Optimized for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok

The Shorts should be:
Funny and engaging
Sometimes meme-style

This is not basic cutting — I’m looking for someone who understands:
pacing
hooks in the first 1–2 seconds
trend-aware editing
visual storytelling in very short formats
Footage Details
After selecting the freelancer, I will provide approx. 150 GB of raw footage
Footage specs:
2.7K resolution
16:9 aspect ratio
Needs proper conversion and reframing to 9:16
Selection Process (IMPORTANT)
To apply, you must:
Create 1 sample Short video
Use footage from my existing long-form videos on YouTube
Add a visible watermark to the test video
(The test edits will NOT be published and are used strictly for freelancer selection.)
Applications without a sample edit will not be considered.

Good sense of humor and timing
Knows how to turn action moments into scroll-stopping content
Comfortable working with large video files
Knows how to reframe 16:9 footage into 9:16 properly
