Storytelling Video Editor Needed (YouTube + Short-Form)
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m looking for a long-term video editor who can tell a story and help define the visual identity of my YouTube channel.
My videos center around what I call The Spiritual Perspective—
Which are videos about finding happiness within, presence, minimalism, transformation, and living a more fulfilling life.
The channel is growing, and I want an editor who can grow with it.
Ideally, you are someone who understands how to turn talking head videos into an emotional experience using pacing, typography, B-roll, imagery, sound, and music.
If you can take a raw piece of content and make it feel alive—visually, emotionally, and narratively—you’re who I’m looking for.
What You’ll Do:
Craft compelling story arcs from raw talking-head footage
Use typography, B-roll, imagery, and music to amplify the message
Shape the overall look and feel of the channel (color grading included)
Collaborate on refining a consistent visual and emotional style
Edit both long-form YouTube videos and short-form clips
Help increase watch time through better hooks, pacing, and storytelling
Bonus (not required): Thumbnail design experience
This is a hands-on role. You’ll be influencing the look and evolution of the channel, not just executing edits.
Test Project (Paid):
You’ll receive one raw video file and have 10 hours to create your strongest edit.
You can cut whatever you need.
You can restructure it.
Add a hook.
Use your full creative range—typography, B-roll, music, sound design, color grading, everything.
This test is simply to see your instincts and storytelling ability.
Fee for the test is $50
If hired, the position is full-time
To participate in the trial, I need to see your best 2–3 story-driven pieces (ideally 15 minutes or less).
Plus your best short form edits for social media.
Examples should show your eye for pacing, music, emotional timing, and typography, color grading, etc.
