Realistic Pencil and Colored Sketch of Worn Gloves
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am commissioning two highly detailed illustrations of a pair of well-worn work gloves—creased, scuffed, maybe even threadbare in spots, yet clearly still capable of keeping hands safe. One version should be rendered in pencil, and the other in color, with the artistic approach left to the freelancer’s discretion. The style must be strictly realistic; I want viewers to feel the grain of the leather and the history in every frayed seam.
Key focus:
• Texture of the worn-out areas is paramount. Show the roughness, the faded dye, small tears, and compressed padding without losing the sense of sturdiness.
• Lighting and shading should enhance depth and highlight those textures naturally.
Deliverables:
1. Final artwork rendered in graphite (or digital pencil if you work on tablet) at a minimum of 300 dpi, A4 or larger.
2. A colored version rendered at a minimum of 300 dpi, A4 or larger.
3. Clean, high-resolution scans or layered files (TIFF, PNG, or PSD) ready for print.
4. One low-res JPEG for quick sharing/approval.
If the drawings capture exactly what I’m after, I intend to purchase full rights for unrestricted use, so please be prepared to quote a rights-transfer fee alongside your base price.
