Night Footage Brighten and Sharpen
Budget: $50 – $60 USD
I have a single take that runs a little over 30 seconds and was shot outdoors at night. The opening 13 seconds and the closing 5 seconds are dead space, so the very first thing to do is trim those away.
Once the clip is trimmed, the real job begins: bring out my actors’ faces. I still want the scene to read as late-night, so the overall ambience must stay dark and cool, but the actors themselves should be noticeably clearer and a touch sharper. Unsightly trash bins sit in the background—please keep those areas down in the shadows so they don’t draw the eye.
If you can combine selective exposure lifts, subtle color-grading, and gentle sharpening (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects—your call) to achieve a natural look, send me a short water-marked preview. The first version that impresses me wins this task and will be my go-to person for the additional clips already waiting in the queue.
I’ll provide a Google Drive link to the source file the moment you message me. Final delivery should be the graded clip in the same resolution and frame rate as the original, plus a brief note of the adjustments you applied so we can keep the look consistent across the upcoming footage.
