Historical Documentary Editor Needed
Budget: ₹600 – ₹1,500 INR
I’m producing a feature-length documentary centered on a significant historical event. The research is complete and the script is locked, but principal photography has not begun—no footage exists yet. As soon as filming starts I’ll be sending you the rushes in batches, so I need an editor who can step in from day one, organize the media, and guide post-production through to final delivery.
Once the files arrive, you’ll shape the story, refine the pacing, weave in archival stills or maps where the narrative calls for them, apply tasteful motion graphics, handle color correction and grading, and polish the audio until it’s broadcast-ready. Throughout the process I’d like collaborative checkpoints so we can keep historical accuracy and emotional impact front and center.
Deliverables
• Rough cut aligned to the approved script
• Fine cut integrating archival assets and graphics
• Color-graded, audio-mixed picture lock
• Final master export in 4K ProRes plus an HD H.264
If you have a strong documentary reel—especially projects rooted in history—and you’re comfortable starting with zero footage and building a workflow from scratch, I’d love to hear how you’d approach this project and your typical turnaround for each milestone.
