Coldfusion Function

I need a Coldfusion Function written in a CFC file that takes a string called Word as a parameter and returns the singular form of the Word as the result. So if I sent in the word "Banning" to the function the result should be "Ban". If I send in the word "databases" to the function then the result should be "database".

If I need a database table that represents every word in the english language, it is your job to find such a table and I will import it to my database.

You must work locally on this function - you will not be given access to my server. I must be 100% satisified with the results. Please use CFML instead of cfscript to write the function. Thank you!
