Coldfusion Driver Issue -- 2

My ColdFusion software is supporting many different databases. These include MySQL 5.5 and 8.0 versions. I am trying to get my software to work with a MySQL 5.1 database. I am getting an error 'java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: CLIENT_PLUGIN_AUTH is required'. I am using mysql-connector-java-8.0.29.jar as the MySQL driver. Is there anyway to support both versions of MySQL? I must be 100% satisified with the solution. Put the phrase 'driverguru' in your bid so I know you have read this and understand what is needed.
