Senior Cognos Developer Needed
Budget: ₹1,000,000 – ₹2,500,000 INR
I am looking for a seasoned Cognos professional who can jump straight into a mixed-version environment (we have active projects on both Cognos 10 and Cognos 11). You will help me streamline and extend our reporting layer—sometimes designing fresh, business-critical reports, other times refactoring or consolidating legacy work that has grown out of hand.
Day to day you will work in Framework Manager and Report Studio, crafting performant models and layouts while leaning on your SQL expertise to reshape or optimise complex queries against our warehouse. Expect to touch the full test cycle—unit, QA, regression and UAT—because quality and repeatability are non-negotiable on this project.
A typical assignment might involve:
• analysing a cluster of overlapping reports, collapsing them into a single, parameter-driven design
• improving render time by rewriting long-running SQL or restructuring metadata in Framework Manager
• documenting every logic choice so downstream analysts and auditors understand the lineage
You’ll collaborate with business analysts, QA and data engineers but will also tackle independent work streams where you own the schedule and results. Clear written and verbal updates to stakeholders are essential; I need to know where risks are before they become issues.
If you have 5+ years of hands-on Cognos experience, a knack for data-warehouse best practices, and meticulous attention to detail, I’m eager to see examples of your previous work and discuss how quickly you can start.
