Creating a backend "Experience" app (NOT a store)
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I have an event that people register for. They can add things like bedding and classes, etc. Some things have fees and others don't. They can make payments for the event or pay it all at once. I need to create a way for people to register, sign up and pay for the event, or make payment. View their registration and make changes if needed (sometimes its an address, sometimes its a T-shirt size etc). They can view the current classes being offered and choose 1 for a time slot. Some are refundable and some are not, so I need to be able to choose when a class can be cancelled and when it can not. Someone I had previously hired just tried making me a store - which is NOT what I'm trying to do, and in effect wasted both of our time. I already have store elsewhere, I don't need a store.
Recently I went to disney world and their "MY disney experience" app on their website is very similar to what I'm trying to do. People can get tickets, add on to their tickets and make payments, create reservations for restaurants and change information, etc.
At my event, every year I have people contact me "which classes did I sign up for?" "I need to change my room mates". "I need to get bedding or cancel bedding rental". " i need to change my shirt size". " my phone number has changed" etc etc. I have spent 10 years organizing all of this on a spreadsheet and dealing with people changes, but classes have always been registered with each individual educator so I can't help them with that and it creates confusion. For classes they would need to be able to sign up for a class so I get the information, but the payment goes to a different paypal address because they don't pay me ( its different for each class, payment goes directly to the educator).
If you can help create a back end that starts with Registration then allows people to add bedding rental, or classes, pay for them, view items in their registration, change things etc. This is what I'm going after. This can be built as an individual site that my wordpress leads to, it does not have to be made inside of wordpress. Whatever works is fine with me. I put all of the class and website information in wordpress but the backend system does not need to be wordpress. the current website (showing last year's event) is nailcamp.org
When you are done I'll need to be able to go in and update class information etc as it is delivered to me.
