PHP 8.3 Upgrade for CodeIgniter Web App

I am seeking an experienced PHP developer to update the source code of my web application from PHP 5.5 to PHP 8.3. The application is built based on https://github.com/panique/huge (rebranded later to https://github.com/panique/huge) which has been abandoned

Key Responsibilities:
- Upgrade the PHP version of the web application
- Ensure that user authentication processes remain intact and functional
- Verify that all database interactions continue to work as intended
- Conduct comprehensive tests to ensure the integrity of the application post-upgrade

The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience with PHP, particularly versions 5.5 and 8.3
- Strong understanding of user authentication mechanisms
- In-depth knowledge of database interactions within a web application
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the upgrade process.

I do not have the current version installed but I will provide the source code and I expect you to update the code to a working php8.3 version and once it has been, you must to check any potential security issue. If you can do what I need to be done, contact me and I will send the source code
