CodeIgniter Image & SEO Upgrade
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I run an e-commerce site on CodeIgniter and want to extend the existing admin screens (they already hold similar fields) so my editors can handle richer, SEO-ready media.
What I need done
• New input fields for each product and category: image file name, alt text and an Advanced SEO keywords tag (#keyword) area.
• JPEG/PNG uploads must convert on the fly to optimised WebP while keeping file size lean and quality high.
• All new data has to persist in the database and render correctly on the storefront, with the alt attribute visible in every HTML img tag.
• Code must follow the current MVC structure, remain clean, and leave all existing features untouched.
Acceptance criteria
1. Adding or editing a product/category shows the three new fields.
2. Saving commits values to their own columns and reflects instantly on the live pages.
3. A PNG or JPG dropped in will appear in /uploads as a WebP version; page source confirms the switch.
4. Lighthouse or similar SEO audit flags no regressions.
5. No console/PHP errors after deployment.
